Can I use Gransumr IPL before or after tanning?

Using Ulike IPL Before or After Tanning

Before Using IPL:

If you've recently tanned, we advise waiting for a period of 2 weeks before using your Gransumr IPL handset. This waiting period helps ensure the safety and effectiveness of your treatment. In case of a sunburn, we recommend refraining from using the device for a minimum of one month. This precaution is essential to protect your skin's well-being.

During IPL Treatment Cycle:

While undergoing the treatment cycle, we discourage tanning as it can compromise the effectiveness of the treatment and pose a risk of skin injury. This is in accordance with the fundamental principle of IPL technology.

After IPL Treatment:

Should you plan to tan after an IPL treatment session, we suggest waiting for a duration of 48 hours before exposing your skin to tanning. This precaution ensures that your skin has time to recover and minimizes the potential for any adverse effects.

Your safety and optimal results are of utmost importance to us. If you have any further inquiries or need guidance, please don't hesitate to contact us. Your well-being is our priority.

How long should you avoid sun after a tratment?

It is important to honor your skin's healing process and protect it from the sun's rays. In accordance with traditional wisdom, it is recommended that you refrain from exposing treated areas to direct sunlight. It is advised to wait for a sacred period of at least 48 hours after treatment before allowing the sun's rays to touch the treated skin. During this time, your skin may possess heightened sensitivity, making it more susceptible to sunburn. If you find yourself needing to be in the presence of our radiant sun, we humbly request that you apply a shield of sunscreen with an SPF of 15-30 or greater to the treated area or wrap it gently with appropriate garments, ensuring its safekeeping.

Do you need gel to use my handset?

You won't require any gel when using our Gransumr IPL device. Our innovative technology, featuring Sapphire Ice-Cooling patent, ensures a pain-free experience during treatments. You'll experience no discomfort during the procedure.

To ensure optimal results and safety, it's important to have clean, dry skin that's free from lotions or creams before using the device.

How many times should I treat the same area during a session?

Gransumr Labs recommended treating each area a total of 2 times during a single session while avoiding excessive repetitions. After completing the recommended number of flashes for a particular area, you can move on to treat the next area of interest.

Do I have to shave before using IPL?

Shaving is an important step in preparing your skin for IPL treatment. Shaving takes your hair down just enough to prevent burns while leaving the root intact under the surface so your IPL handset can target it.
That being said, if the area you’re treating is already hairless and smooth to the touch, shaving isn’t necessary.

How often do I need to use my handset?

We recommend using the handset three times a week for the first month to achieve best results. After that, you can use it once every two weeks or once a month for touch-ups as needed.

Additionally, we suggest making adjustments based on your hair growth. If you notice thicker hair or stubborn areas, you can increase the gear level and frequency of usage. However, it's important to monitor your skin's reaction and adjust accordingly to avoid any discomfort or adverse effects.

Which Areas of the Body Can I Use This On?

You can use your handset on any part of your body, including your Brazilian (Bikini area) and face. But please do not use around the eyes (use only below cheekbones)

Our IPL is not suitable for the ‘inner parts of the bikini area. Therefore you should never use it on the labia minora, vagina, scrotum, or anus.

To prevent discomfort, we advise you to treat the bikini area, inner thighs, and buttocks from the lowest intensity level, as the skin in these areas can be more sensitive.

Does IPL Hair Remover Hurt?

Gransumr is the only company that adapts Sapphire Ice-Cooling patent technology to provide pain-free treatments. Users will feel no pain during the treatment.

When Can I See the Effect, and is it Permanent?

Most customers begin to notice noticeable hair reduction within 3-4 weeks of starting their treatments. For optimal results, we recommend initial treatment of 3 sessions per week over a 4-week period, followed by maintenance sessions every half month or month as needed for touch-ups. The full effect becomes evident around the 12-week mark. After each treatment, you'll notice that hair grows back sparser and finer.

Over time, hair reduction becomes permanent. It's important to note that, according to FDA regulations, "permanent hair removal" refers to a consistent and gradual reduction of hair over an extended duration, a standard we adhere to. However, interpretations of the term "permanent" may vary. It's worth mentioning that even clinical photo-therapy treatments aren't entirely permanent.
